| 30 November, 2005: Fabien Gouyon successfully defends his PhD dissertation on rhythm description at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. |
| 30 September, 2005: FOAFING THE MUSIC, a music recommender system based on users' profiles, is now online. Developed under the umbrella of the SIMAC IST-EU project. |
| 29 August, 2005: Emilia Gómez obtained the third position in ISMIR's audio key-finding contest. Fabien Gouyon and Simon Dixon made it to the fourth position in the audio tempo extraction contest. Elias Pampalk was fourth in the audio artist identification competition. Paul Brossier also obtained the fourth position in the onset detection contest. |
